After-Care Questions I get asked after Dermal Filler Treatments
Microdermabrasion is what happens when technology meets skincare, the treatment is conducted using a probe with a crystal/diamond tip. The treatment helps eliminate the top layer of skin leaving you with a healthy glow, although it is not as intensive as a chemical peel it is a lot cheaper and gives great results.
Why not just buy a scrub or exfoliator?
Microdermabrasion succeeds where other products fail, though scrubs and exfoliators claim to remove dead skin and impurities they undoubtedly leave residue on the skin, Microdermabrasion sucks up dead skin cells as it removes them. In fact some products even contain chemicals that promote breakouts after a limited time of suppression. Also, as no products are used there is not risk of residue being left on the skin, this is exfoliating at it’s purest.
What can it do?
Microdermabrasion can help treat skin problems caused by hormonal fluctuations, years of mistreating or everyday wear and tear such as:
At the Clinic
It would be best to arrive at the clinic make-up/product free, treatments work best when skin is clean. Your face will be cleansed so that the microdermabrasion treatment can begin. You will get sensations of nipping and tugging but relatively pain-free.
At Yorkshire Health and Aesthetics we will analyse your skin and after the microdermabrasion apply serums and if wanted a face-mask. LED light therapy can also be added to the treatment to help your skin recover and glow even more.
Once your treatment is done you can go back to your normal routine. The more regularly you have your treatments the longer lasting the results will be.
